Guest artist residency where I am will be working with the undergraduate composition seminar to create new pieces for saxophone and electronics. Then presenting the student’s pieces on a recital.

Khroma Quartet will be guest artists at Hiram College presenting a talk, teaching private lessons, giving a chamber music masterclass and performing a recital.

Presenting a duo recital with saxophonist Sarah Hetrick consisting of all improvised music. World premiere of my improvisation score Break Down and the world premiere of Nathan Noke’s TBD. Also including Spencer Arias’ Light Heartbreak.

Each year, student nominees from the University of Illinois School of Music audition for Krannert Center’s Debut Artist competition. As the winner of this year's competition, saxophonist Wilson Poffenberger will present a recital on the Foellinger Great Hall stage to launch his professional career. This performance presents an opportunity to experience the emerging artistry of a rising young musician and see history in the making.

Each Krannert Center Debut Artist is featured on the Sunday Salon Series, a performance setting specifically devoted to the presentation of emerging young artists in which an intimate atmosphere is created by seating audience members onstage with the performers. This powerful early career boost beautifully symbolizes Krannert Center’s threefold mission of education, research, and public engagement. Previous winners include singers and instrumentalists who now teach and perform throughout the world, including the university’s own Rochelle Sennet and Ollie Watts Davis.

I will be presenting Vahid Jahandari’s “There was yet no heaven” for soprano and baritone saxophone and electronics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Experimental Music Studio’s 60th anniversary festival.

The Khroma Quartet will be competing in the MTNA Illinois State Chamber Music Competition.

I will be performing with the Sinfonia da Camera on Leonard Bernstein’s “Three Episodes from On The Town”.
