Alexis Bacon Consortium
Hello saxophone friends and colleagues!
I am contacting you about an exciting new consortium opportunity. This project will be in collaboration with Michigan State University composition faculty member Alexis Bacon to write a new piece for tenor saxophone and interactive electronics. I’ve been very fascinated by Alexis’s music and compositional style and I believe this piece will be a wonderful addition to the tenor saxophone repertoire!
The piece will be 10-12 minutes in length for tenor saxophone and interactive electronics. I am seeking a 20 person consortium at a $100 per person entry fee. The deadline for submission will be February 1st, 2017. Payment can be made by check or bank transfer (payment details will be explained in the contract). All performance materials will be completed on or before May 1st, 2017, after which I will have a 5 month premiere exclusivity period (October 1st, 2017). Starting on October 1st, the rest of the commissioners will have 1 year to do the regional premieres. If you or one of your students are interested in this consortium, you can contact me through private message. Upon interest I will send you an official contract.
Please spread the word to your students and fellow saxophone colleagues. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!

Saxophone Competition Repertoire List
Hello friends and colleagues! This past spring I compiled an extensive saxophone competition repertoire list in my saxophone literature course! The list was an independent project that took most of the semester to complete. As of now it is still a working document, but I hope it will be a helpful resource to any of my saxophone friends! Any suggestions or additions will be greatly appreciated!
